1943

Arthur VIOLLAND founds ARVIA Décolletage, specialising in bar turning and watchmaking. The Haute-Savoie-based company set up in the heart of the Arve Valley, in the cradle of French screw-cutting. Its workshop in Scionzier town centre is available to manufacturers in the region.

1986

Acquisition of the 1st CNC lathe (MAZAK)

1998

More than 50 years after its creation, ARVIA has specialised in screw machining and is relocating to the heart of the Scionzier industrial estate to improve its logistical and ecological performance and increase its production capacity. Its new premises, comprising a 1,000 m2 workshop, also consolidate its strategic position at the centre of Europe.

2008

Alexandre Violland, grandson of the founder of ARVIA Décolletage, is taking over the management of the company from his father. He and his sister Delphine are the third generation to take over the management of this family business. They breathed new life into ARVIA Décolletage and set about modernising the means of production.

2010

Under the impetus of its new chairman, ARVIA Décolletage is investing in innovative technologies, in particular computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools, and is completely renewing its machinery. This new tooling considerably improves performance and productivity levels.

2017

ARVIA Décolletage is expanding its technological know-how with the acquisition of a local competitor. This acquisition will enable the company to acquire new expertise and further diversify the range of services it offers its customers.

2023

ARVIA is celebrating its 80th anniversary. Its family history continues to be written alongside long-standing customers and trusted partners.
